Jean-Paul Sartre looked at Descartes's statement “I think, therefore I am” very deeply and suddenly realized, in his own words, the consciousness that says 'I am' is not the consciousness that thinks. What did he mean by that? When you are aware that you are thinking, that awareness is not part of thinking. It is a different dimension of consciousness. When I think of Madjid, I have only one picture in mind. A beautiful smile and one of a kind laugh, which I will always remember. A wonderful person who could enlighten a room… no matter how low the energy in the room…. He would fill it with positivity. This is how I remember him and will always do. As Jean-Paul Sartre mentioned… we are more then „thought“. We are „aware“ of thinking. So I’m aware of the person he „is“ and not „was“. Madjid… Thank you We love you
